SWC & Salas O'BrienSalas O’Brien is thrilled to welcome Concord, California-based Technical Roof Services (TRS) into the Salas O’Brien family.

TRS’s talent and services are a strategic addition to the Salas O’Brien portfolio, which now includes design, troubleshooting, and commissioning of roofing, waterproofing, and similar building envelope systems.

“Partnering with Phil Dregger and the team at TRS is a wonderful move for Salas O’Brien and its employee-owners,” said Darin Anderson, Salas O’Brien chairman and CEO. “This marks the fourth merger for Salas O’Brien this year, and I am so thankful to continue finding energetic and engaged leaders who share our Ownership Values and build trusted, long-term partnerships with clients. Salas O’Brien will become even stronger and more vibrant with the added skills and leadership of the TRS team.”

The transaction closed on November 7, 2018, and was shared internally with the TRS and Salas O’Brien teams last week. Because Salas O’Brien is a 100% ESOP company, each TRS team member will become an owner of the combined firm.

The merger expands Salas O’Brien’s national presence as a highly technical and passionate team with significant expertise in clean energy, manufacturing, critical environments, industry, education, power transmission and distribution, transportation, and telecommunications.

“We have partnered with Salas O’Brien on projects for years, and I am so pleased that our partnership can be formalized in this way,” said Phil Dregger, TRS president. “Salas O’Brien’s approach to mergers and its focus on providing national strength but local, entrepreneurial action are a perfect fit for the TRS team.”
