Catering to the students of San Diego State University (SDSU), Paseo Place is a mixed-use structure built by LDP Development that includes retail shops, two levels of underground parking, and 45 luxury student affiliate housing units. Our San Diego team designed the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for this unique student housing structure.
Some of the unique features of the building are its HVAC system design (which uses split-system heat pump units) and its comprehensive security system. The apartments are gated access only, with card access points in the garage, courtyard, and elevators that link to campus security in case of emergencies. LPD Development also prioritizes sustainability, so the building includes a variety of green features such as its gas-fired, continuous-loop hot water system, ENERGY STAR appliances, rooftop photovoltaic panels, and recycling chutes.
The Lofts at Moonlight Beach
Salas O'Brien also partnered with LDP Development on the Lofts at Moonlight Beach. With its prime location just blocks away from the beautiful Moonlight State Beach in Encinitas, California, the Lofts at Moonlight Beach offer premium coastal accommodation. Salas O’Brien provided the mechanical design for this mixed-use project, which features one-, two-, and three-bedroom residential units and ground-level commercial spaces.
