Whether you’re looking for clothes, homewares, or the latest tech gadget, lifestyle shopping venues like the Fountains at Farah serve as the perfect one-stop-shop. Salas O’Brien has proudly partnered with dozens of shopping venues throughout the country, so when we were approached by Centergy Retail about providing services for a prime El Paso property, we readily agreed to contribute our mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design expertise.
The city of El Paso sits at the juncture of New Mexico, Texas, and Mexico, and with five international entry points and over 20 million crossings a year, it’s a prime location for retail investment. The Fountains at Farah, as a regional venue, quickly attracted national name brands like West Elm, Nordstrom, Dick’s Sporting Goods, and Kate Spade, and the attractive facades and landscaping ensure a fresh, vibrant experience for shoppers. But the Fountains offers even more. The venue is split into two levels, and while the upper Boulevard is devoted almost exclusively to shopping, the lower Promenade features ample and convenient covered parking, a wide variety of restaurants, interactive fountains, and an open amphitheater event venue. Throughout the year, the Promenade is used for various events from arts festivals to open-air concerts and theater, and in winter, it proudly features El Paso’s “first and favorite” outdoor ice-skating venue.
The engineering requirements for a project of this scale and variety are extensive, but Salas O’Brien’s experienced team was more than up to the task. The Fountains now enjoys the benefit of durable, expertly designed systems in their boutique shops, department stores, restaurants, and open event areas—and our team has yet another satisfied client.
