Texas A&M Reed ArenaHere at Salas O’Brien we take great pride in how we impact people and our communities. We impact our colleagues and their families by providing them an energetic, safe, family-oriented culture. We impact our clients by providing them high quality work that is energy efficient, reliable, built well, and maintenance friendly. We impact the people who enter our buildings by providing them a comfortable, safe, and positive experience. One great example of how widely our work affects people is Texas A&M’s Reed Arena, used for myriad events attended by countless people in the massive “Aggie” family.

Texas A&M is the oldest public university in Texas, its student body is the largest in the state, and its  alumni—over 450,000 strong—remain devoted Aggies for life. Reed Arena is Texas A&M’s chief sports arena and entertainment venue. Seating 12,500, this 236,000-square-foot facility is used for Texas A&M basketball games, commencement ceremonies, concerts, trade shows, family entertainment, and student programs.

The university's dedicated students, alumni, and extended family require facilities that can accommodate their robust athletic, entertainment, and community needs. To meet this demand, Salas O'Brien provided mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering design for two practice gyms, coaches' offices, training facility, and dressing rooms.

Our work on this project supports one of the best basketball arenas in the southwest and provides first-class amenities not only for Aggie basketball but for many other community events.
