I wanted to update each of you after the outpouring of support and concern about Salas O'Brien's Houston team members.

Fortunately, they are all safe. Several have had extensive damage to their home and property due to flooding. In fact, some still can’t get to their house. Brad, Karl and our local leaders have been keeping in close contact with everyone to ensure that they have a safe and secure home to stay in with friends or family.  

We are supporting each of our team members based on their individual needs.

Fortunately, many are stable and doing fine. We have opened the office today for those that are secure, able and have access. We are reaching out to clients to see how we can support them, particularly to ensure critical/essential facilities are operational and/or can support recovery efforts.

It is also nice to know that many of the facilities that Salas O’Brien has designed are being used as temporary shelters for those that have been displaced.

My heart goes out to all our Houston team members, your family and friends. The damage has been overwhelming. But even more overwhelming is the strength and resilience that each of you have shown, along with the Houston community. I know of several of our team members that have been getting their boats out to rescue and help people. I couldn’t be more proud of our team and the character that Houston has shown the world. Amazing!
