Salas O’Brien is thrilled to welcome Orlando-based Sims Wilkerson Cartier Engineering (SWC) into the Salas O’Brien family.
SWC’s talent and portfolio dramatically increase Salas O’Brien’s ability to partner with clients in Florida and throughout the Southeast. As SWC continues growing in Florida, the team will also bring its expertise in site development, infrastructure improvement, and transportation to Salas O’Brien clients across the nation.
“Partnering with Gary and the team at SWC is a wonderful move for Salas O’Brien and its employee-owners,” said Darin Anderson, Salas O’Brien chairman and CEO. “With our growth earlier this year in Ohio and Southern California, and now with SWC, we continue finding energetic and engaged leaders who share our Ownership Values and build trusted partnerships with clients. Salas O’Brien will become even stronger and more vibrant with the added skills and leadership of the SWC team.”
The transaction closed on July 31, 2018, and was shared internally with the SWC and Salas O’Brien teams last week. Because Salas O’Brien is 100% owned by all its team members, each SWC team member will become an owner of the combined firm.
The merger expands Salas O’Brien’s national presence as a highly technical and passionate team with significant expertise in clean energy, manufacturing, critical environments, industry, education, power transmission and distribution, transportation, and telecommunications.
“Salas O’Brien is a remarkable organization, one that allows us to keep our regional decision-making and accountability, yet experience the growth and resources of a larger firm,” said Gary Wilkerson, SWC president. “I am especially excited about the opportunities this merger gives our whole team to grow personally through working on new projects and experiencing the benefits of employee ownership.”
Please join Salas O’Brien and SWC in celebrating this exciting news!
